Bells MES has been commissioned by Skanska to build a large acoustic room to house three generator sets over two floors. The floor will be set onto AVM’s (Anti Vibration Mounts) with acoustic paneled flooring, providing a high acoustic integrity to the base. The installation will include acoustic walls and six suspended primary silencers, horizontally connecting the secondary silencers and vertically passing through the floors to roof level. 

This complex project will begin with the construction of high specification attenuation to the outside of the building and installation of steel Universal columns and C-section supports to hold stud flex AVM’s to support the floating floor. All flooring will be fully welded to make a bunded area to house the three 2500kVa generators.
